Is gold the best way to preserve your wealth?
Well things have certainly changed over the past year and a half. Ever since I first got the inkling that the wheels were first coming off the proverbial cart that was the western economies I had been warning my friends about what was coming. Although I had been keeping up to date with world economics and politics for years, the fact that other housing markets around the world were beginning to fall was for me the sign that the world recession had finally (not that I wanted it to happen) started.
So many of my friends ridiculed me with my so called doom-mongering. I just couldn’t stand by as I I watched friends buy into the housing market at or near the top for fear of never getting on the housing ladder. It really blows my mind that people can make major investments or take out huge debts without doing any research or having any historical perspective on a given market.
It was plane to see fo many that the housing market was a huge bubble and if you look back in history you’ll see that when these kinds of bubbles burst they bring a lot of collateral damage. Don’t be fooled by the mainstream media, plenty of people saw this coming and history is repeating itself. Do you know what the people who predicted the current economic malaise said would come soon after the first banks started to topple? They said the governments would start ‘printing money’. Of course they don’t literally make more money but where do you think all that money is coming from that is used to go into those failing banks? It’s created out of thin air and is akin to printing money. Basically the money you and I have in our pockets is being devalued every time they hand out more billions to the failing banks.
There is only one way to protect your hard earned wealth which is why I started to find out how to buy gold. Since I first started putting my money into gold the price has almost doubled, or should I say my native currency has lost almost half it’s value and requires twice as much to buy the same amount of gold.
